Eclections Interior

The Medich family, Dan Sr., Martha, Dan Jr., and Nicole have relocated Eclections, a destination store, to an intimate corner complex in Fenton - a short distance East of US 23 on the South side of Silver Lake Road.

Earlier in the history of this fine Fenton family, Dan Medich Sr., with his successful retail roots, set the renown ‘Imperial Sports’ chain in motion. “Dan is the energy behind everything and what keeps all of us going.” Said Martha, his wife. He and Martha built Imperial Sports to the exciting and impressive size of 47 stores located in 4 states! They sold the business in the late ‘80s and retired. But, that retail passion gene could not stay dormant for long and emerged the next generation in their daughter, Nicole Bergeron. Although Nicole had practiced as a dietitian and holds a Master’s Degree in Exercise & Health Studies, she said, “We all have that thing that we were made to do and when it clicks, it just clicks! When we go to market and carefully choose something new, then come home and our Fenton customers buy the rack out – I feel so gratified!”

Nicole began Eclections on Fenton’s Silver Parkway in May of 2007. She started with a photography studio in the back and a small boutique in the front of the store – to sort of ‘pay the bills.’ “Before we knew it, both took off and skyrocketed,” said Martha. That made it necessary to choose just one business to concentrate on and the family chose the boutique! Dan Jr. joined in to help in April of 2008, so the whole family was involved. Since then, Elections has added square footage in order to satisfy its customers’ needs many times. At this juncture, their new site gives them 4700 square feet of retail space and much more storage, both of which are a total plus and a real need.

“Fenton is our home and we have our business here because we want to stay close,” said Martha. Nicole appreciates their customers’ loyalty and said, “We feel so fortunate that Fenton supports us and that they choose to come to us rather than the mall. We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them!” Martha added, “Customer service is number one and so our customers have become our friends! We have certainly fallen in love with them! In fact, all of the people who work in the store were customers first.”

Besides providing a shopping experience without having to travel very far for the local customers, Eclections offers additional, helpful services for free that one rarely finds at any other retail store. Eclections will wrap your gift with special care and when you purchase jeans or slacks, they will hem them for you, all of the time – not just during a special promotion! “These are just two of the services we offer because of listening to our customers and what they want,” explained Martha.

Watch for Eclections to make the new complex their own in the next few months with a variety of improvements including new metal awnings outside and new décor inside. One cannot help but notice the excellent brands immediately upon entering Eclections like Miss Me, Vera Bradley, Lego Watches for the kids, Brighton, and much more. With all of this fine taste and the dedication of the Medich family, Eclections promises to become one of the premier corners in Fenton. Visit www.eclectionsboutique.com/
