FENTON, MI - Fenton is known for a variety of great things, but now, thanks to a partnership between two local non-profits and several businesses it can be considered a weekend craft fair destination.

The large, well-known events, The Fenton United Methodist Church Holiday Craft & Small Business Expo and The State Road Arts & Craft Show, are now being held on the same weekend for the fifth year in a row, on Saturday, November 23th and Sunday, November 24th.

“This is a great opportunity to bring the community out to both of these fabulous events,” says Bonnie Leyder of the Fenton United Methodist Church.

The weekend will kick off with the Fenton United Methodist Church Holiday Craft & Small Business Expo 10-3 PM on November 23. More than 70 vendors will fill two floors of the Family Life Center at 119 South Leroy Street, Fenton. Enjoy a great lunch! The 1:00 fashion show will be presented by Creative Fashions, Battle Alley, Holly.

Door Prize Gift Certificates include a 2 Night Stay at Fairfield Inn, $50 Raymos, 2-$25 Creative Fashions, Mancino’s $30 Certificate, The Quilters Garden $25 gift card and a certificate for ½ dozen cupcakes from Round Town Cupcakes! Last year saw $2,000 in Prizes and Silent Auction Items! Proceeds from the event will benefit the Fenton UMC’s Family Life Center and its Local Ministries. Admission is just $2.

The State Road Craft Show is now in its 38th year and features more than 160 juried vendors. The event benefits the State Road PTO with the proceeds funding scholarships, books and supplies. It will take place at the Fenton High School at 3200 S Shiawassee in Fenton on November 24 from 10 am to 4pm.

Out of town visitors will enjoy group rate discounts during the Craft Fair Weekend at Fenton’s Fairfield Inn. Call 810-629-0400, Code FCSN for $74.99 King or Queen. Many other businesses will also have great deals!

“It’s really going to be a special weekend,” says Leyder. “A lot of people really love craft shows, and we encourage visitors to come enjoy Fenton and all of the great businesses we have here.”
