Celebrating Five Seasons of Music in Our Community

Fenton Community Orchestra and Fenton High School Jazz Ensemble Perform Fifth Annual
December Concert Together

The Fenton Community Orchestra invites you to celebrate its fifth season with a concert at the Fenton High School Ruby Zima Auditorium on December, 12th at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free but donations are greatly appreciated. Fenton High School is located at 3200 W. Shiawassee Ave. Fenton, MI 48430.

The FCO will be joined once again in concert by the Fenton High School Jazz Ensemble under the baton of Music Director, Mr. Andrew Perkins. The FCO will be performing a variety of holiday pops, jazz, and classical works including Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, Leroy Anderson’s A Christmas Festival and Trans Siberian Orchestra’s Wizards in Winter.

“Our Community Orchestra turned 5 years old and we began our fifth season with a solid foundation,” said Jennifer Fleck, Co-Founder and President of the Board. “We are over 60 musicians strong (ages ranging from 11 to 70) this season. By developing partnerships with the schools and area businesses we are positioning ourselves for further growth.”

Jennifer recently received the State Bank Community Contribution to Education Award from the Fenton Education Foundation for her work with the FCO and Fenton High School Band Program. “It’s wonderful to live in a community that values the efforts of those involved in the arts… we offer so much more than just great music.”

The Fenton Community Orchestra is a multi-generational orchestra that provides a place for musicians of all ages to connect through music by offering an educational and entertaining music program for its members and audiences. The FCO enriches educational opportunities for local youth to perform along side experienced musicians. The FCO is under the musical direction of Mr. Andrew Perkins, Director of Bands for Fenton Area Public Schools and is governed by the FCO Board of Directors. Let’s all celebrate
our Community Orchestra’s fifth birthday!
