Oakwood Cemetery’s 5th annual “History Walk” is scheduled for Saturday, October 6th from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Step back in time as the “History Walk” features Civil War veterans and their stories. Re-enactors and members of the Fenton Village Players will take on the roles of the veterans and their families gleaned from the pages of history.
Oakwood Cemetery is located at at the south end of Davis Street, off Shiawassee Ave., in Fenton.
“History Walk” is presented by the Fenton Historical Society, Fenton Village Players, Fenton Cemetery Board, Gov. Crapo Camp #145, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Daughters of the Union, Lt. Edwin Carrington, Gennesee Chapter, and the Re-enactors of the 24th Michigan Infantry, “Iron Brigade.”
