On Saturday, July 14th nearly 1,000 people came out to celebrate the 2nd annual Fenton Artwalk.
Kicking off the festivities in the early a.m. that day was the Bastile Day Race, sponsored by the French Laundry.
The ArtWalk celebrated the arts and showcased local and regional artists.Twenty-nine locations housed 30 participating artists, entertainment and family fun.
The Fenton United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian and St. Jude’s Episcopal Churches all participated with family activities at this year’s event. Visitors got closer to culture downtown and enjoyed entertainment at the churches, Fenton Films, A.J. Philips Fenton Museum, Millpond Park and the Winegarden Library. Others were engaged in the community art project held at the Old Fire Hall.
The merchant storefront winner prize goes to Barking Babes for their creative decor.
Thanks goes out to the entire community of Fenton for coming out to shop, as well as the hard-working artists, performers, merchants and volunteers who dedicated their time and efforts to make this such a great day for all!
