Journey into the past when you dine
at the historic Fenton Hotel Tavern and Grille. You can experience the splendor
and charm of yesteryear, with an aura of timelessness the moment you enter the
front door. The restored Fenton Hotel Tavern and Grille traces its roots back
to the 1850’s hotel and caters to the many locals and tourists visiting the
historic Downtown Fenton. Located in the heart
of Fenton’s historic district, the former inn was transformed through the years
into an excellent restaurant and pub and is listed on the Register Of Historic Places. Many changes have taken
place over the years, yet much of the original structure still remains. The
restaurant itself has an atmosphere that echoes
the memories of long ago.
Get ready to step back in time and
enjoy a unique dining experience. The Fenton Hotel
Tavern and Grill is known for their
extraordinary hospitality and delicious food. The perfect date night
destination, this historic tavern offers lunch and dinner with extensive menus
and daily specials, including homemade desserts. The diversity of the menu is a
key reason why diners frequent this local eatery. Nick Sorise, the owner of the
Fenton Hotel since 1997 says that one of the many highlights is the wide
variety of fresh fish dishes on the nightly menu. “We usually offer 5 or 6
varieties of fish each night.” Even better, you can have your selection
prepared in at least 6 different ways. The friendly wait staff is exceptionally
knowledgeable about the menu and the portions are generous.
For a lively evening, join the locals
in the cozy tavern complete with weekly entertainment. Many of the nearby
residents have been coming here for 50 years or more and love to share stories
of previous owners and tales of the Hotel during prohibition. Nick says that in
the years since taking ownership, one of the biggest changes he’s made is in
the tavern itself. He expanded the offering in the bar to include over 25
varieties of Martinis, Michigan Micro-brews and a special Blueberry Infused
Woodford Bourbon just to mention a few. They even offer a Pomegranate Riesling
from local Fenton Winery and Brewery. You can enjoy musical entertainment four
nights a week in the tavern. A variety of acoustic, solo performers entertain
on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a Duo performing on Frida ys and Saturdays. The
restaurant is available for reunions, parties, and receptions with seating up
to 250 patrons. They also have a private dining room that seats 40. It’s a
perfect place for rehearsal dinners and small receptions. Nick says that the
holidays are always a busy time at The Fenton Hotel Tavern and Grill and they
are looking forward to the upcoming Mother’s Day Brunch Event.
One more interesting attribute…
Take a little time to discover the cast of characters who
are said to inhabit the Fenton Hotel. Rumors of ghosts have been around for
nearly as long as the Hotel. The Hotel has been mentioned in many publications
regarding the apparitions that wander the halls. The antiquated architecture
and ethereal beings that purportedly stroll the hotel add mystique to an
already mysterious and beautiful building. So whether you stop in for the
ambiance and mystique or the excellent dinners, cocktails and entertainment,
the Fenton Hotel Tavern and Grill will linger on your mind long after you have
left the building. The Fenton Hotel is located at 302 N Leroy St, Fenton, MI 48430. Kitchen Hours: Monday-Thursday 4pm-10pm | Friday-Saturday 4pm-11pm | Sunday 3pm-8pm and they can be
