FENTON,
MI - Fenton is known for a variety of great things, but now, thanks to a
partnership between two local non-profits and several businesses it can
be considered a weekend craft fair destination.
The large,
well-known events, The Fenton United Methodist Church Holiday Craft
& Small Business Expo and The State Road Arts & Craft Show, are
being held on the same weekend for the sixth year in a row, on Saturday,
November 22nd and Sunday, November 23rd.
“This is a great
opportunity to bring the community out to both of these fabulous
events,” says Janet Ruggirello of the Fenton United Methodist Church.
The
weekend will kick off with the Fenton United Methodist Church Holiday
Craft & Small Business Expo 10 am to 3 pm on November 22. More than
70 vendors will fill two floors of the Family Life Center at 119 South
Leroy Street, Fenton. Enjoy a great lunch! The 1:30 Fashion Show will be
presented by Creative Fashions, Battle Alley, Holly.
Door
Prizes include a one night stay at Fairfield Inn Fenton, gift cards from
Fenton Fire Hall Restaurant, Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza, J.D. Michel
Salon & Day Spa, Mancino’s of Fenton, and Creative Fashions! We
have over $2,000 of Door Prizes and Silent Auction Items each year!!
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Fenton FUMC’s Family Life
Center and its Ministries including Family Promise of Genesee County.
Admission is just $2.
The State Road Craft Show is now in its
39th year and features more than 160 juried vendors. The event benefits
the State Road PTO with the proceeds funding scholarships, books and
supplies. It will take place at the Fenton High School at 3200 S.
Shiawassee in Fenton on November 23 from 10 am to 4pm. Our kitchen
features wonderful local restaurants. Admission is $2. No strollers
allowed.

during the Craft Fair Weekend at Fenton’s Fairfield Inn. Call

really going to be a special weekend,” says Ruggirello. “A lot of people

and all of the great businesses & restaurants that we have here.”
