Job Fair Announced for New Businesses in Downtown Fenton:  June 27 and 28

FENTON, MI -  Owners of The Laundry and CRUST will be hosting a job fair on June 27 and 28 at 115 W. Shiawassee Avenue in downtown Fenton.  Managers will be accepting applications and interviewing for a variety of employment opportunities with two new businesses being opened by the company in Fenton later this summer.  The job fair runs 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. both days.

El Topo will be a taco stand offering a fresh take on traditional South American cuisine from The Laundry's Executive Chef Jody Brunori.  Service will be primarily take-out with limited sit-down dining.  Alcohol will not be available at El Topo.  Business hours are expected to be 11 a.m. to midnight, Tuesday through Sunday.

The Relief & Resource Co. will be a neighborhood speakeasy serving classic and original cocktails made to order, an eclectic wine list, and an elegant menu of shared plates, charcuterie and artisanal cheese.  Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available with expected business hours of 5 p.m. to midnight, Tuesday through Sunday.

The businesses will be hiring line and prep cooks, dishwashers, hosts, servers and bar staff.  Preference will be given to those with strong knowledge of wine and spirits for some positions, while others require previous experience in culinary arts.  Managers will be interviewing for opportunities with CRUST and The Laundry during the job fair, as well.    Experience in scaling, baking or culinary arts is helpful.

Full and part-time positions are available.  The company offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to train and grow within the organization.  Eligible employees can participate in employer-shared healthcare and dental and vision insurance options.

Applications for all positions will be available at the job fair but can also be found online at lunchandbeyond.com or crustandbeyond.com under Join Our Team.  Those unable to attend the job fair can return applications to CRUST, 104 W. Caroline, or The Laundry, 125 W. Shiawassee Ave, Fenton.
